Discovery Current Account Campaign
Danske Bank are involved with various sponsorship programmes across Northern Ireland. Over the past few years they have continued to support Ulster’s Schools Cup Rugby, Ulster GAA and Youth Football. They are true believers that great teamwork can help achieve positive results.
As a part of Danske Bank’s ongoing digital strategy, they wanted to build on their ‘Team Danske’ identity whilst promoting their Discovery Current Accounts for 11-17 year olds. They needed a 6 month campaign that would leverage sponsorship assets and time nicely with cup finals.
The campaign also needed to resonate well with children and parents in order to recruit new Discovery Current Account customers and reward existing ones.
What We Did
To complement their offline promotional material we developed Team Tap, a cool sports App to engage Northern Ireland school kids. It’s available on iOS and Android, and it’s the first App Danske Bank have developed exclusively for an NI audience.
The aim of the game is simple; choose your preferred sports ball and tap to test your keepy uppy skills. Those with the highest scores are in with a chance of scoring some fantastic prizes.
In fact, thanks to Danske’s ongoing sponsorships with Ulster School’s Cup and Ulster GAA, students can play as a team to win an exclusive training session with sporting legends for their school. Not to mention being in with a chance of winning a live sports experience of their choice for their family!
We also updated their bespoke Team Danske website to build on the ‘Team’ identity. This allowed Danske Bank to communicate the benefits of opening a Discovery Current Accounts and enable holders to enter the giveaway online.
To date, Team Tap has launched over 3.8k times and has been installed by over 800 children across schools in Northern Ireland.
