Strathclyde Partnership for Transport appointed Origin Digital to create a mobile platform to engage and add value to its loyal daily commuters ‘Shooglers’.
What we did
We came up with the idea of a useful and fun app which tapped into the history, culture and personality of Glasgow’s underground.
Developed natively for iOS and Android, iShoogle is designed to increase footfall and usage of the Glasgow Subway. The App gives commuters an engaging way to navigate the city with Live Line Updates, Next Train Notifications, Maps and even a Shoogle mood barometer which gives a feel for the collective mood of the passengers.
The App has picked up 3 awards, Winner – Scottish Transport Awards 2013 and Silver – Samsung Digital Media Awards 2013 Best App, Best Mobile App – DANI Awards 2013 and has over 25,000 downloads!
